Besides, Zonia is hesitant to make friends with the local children. She feels children here are more often distracted from their studies. She refers to the excessive usage of internet and social networking sites among teenagers.
Zonia says they will take some time to get adjusted in Kashmir as there is no way out.
The girls if given an option again will choose Pakistan over Kashmir for their education but Shabir has closed all those options. Shabir says they will have to get adjusted here only.
“After the admission processes are sorted we will look for Zaitoona’s relatives here, so, that she will no more miss her malun (parental home),” he concludes. Zaitoona smiled and bowed her head.
